One of the worst things that can happen to any blaster fan is being stuck in the middle of a battle and running out of darts. With nothing left in the chamber your only option is to scavenge from the field or simply run away – and no one wants that.

In this guide we answer the question “Which blaster holds the most darts?” to help you find the best bang for your buck and ensure you are never find yourself empty.

Elite Hail Fire Blaster (144 Dart Capacity)

NERF N-Strike Elite Hail-Fire

When it comes to ammunition, the clear winner is the Hail-Fire. With a dart capacity of 144 Elite darts, nothing comes close!

The Hail Fire is a semi-automatic, motorized gun which utilizes 8(!) quick load clips to supply an insane 144 darts – enough firepower to keep anyone from messing with you. A unique rotating ammo rack means you won’t be running out of darts any time soon. Simply rev up the motor by holding down the accelerator button and send a deluge of darts against your enemies way! As opposed to a full-auto, the Hail Fire is a semi-automatic blaster meaning you need to hit the trigger for each shot – but when you have this much ammo you won’t need to worry about accuracy.

Although the Hail-Fire has a capacity of 144 Elite darts you only get 24 darts and 4 quick reload clips out of the box. To use the Hail-Fire to it’s fullest potential you will need to grab 4 additional clips and a load more Elite darts. If you want to be fully loaded check out our dart refills and accessories page for more information.

This blaster requires 4 AA batteries to get the motors working so be sure to pick some up as they don’t come in the box.

Zombie Strike Doominator Blaster (24 Dart Capacity)

NERF Zombie Strike Doominator

If the Hail-Fire seems like too much investment then we would recommend you check out the Zombie Strike Doominator. Unlike the Hail-Fire, the Doominator is a manual blaster utilizing of four, 6 dart drums which can easily be rotated out – giving you a total of 24 darts to blast with! Making things even better, the Doominator includes 24 darts so you will have everything you need straight out of the box!

If you don’t want to spend a fortune on additional darts, magazines and batteries then the Doominator is an amazing gun. The firing and priming mechanism is a little more complex than your standard blaster so will take some practice but it won’t be long until you’re a complete master.

To rotate the drum and engage your next 6 darts, you will need to pull the flip trigger (located below the fire trigger). In order to fire the you have to use the pump action handle to prime and then you are good to go.

The Zombie Strike Doominator may be a little more complicated than your standard gun but if you are looking for a manual blaster with a huge capacity then you need to get this gun!
