Top: Best Motorized Blasters

When it comes to NERF guns, you can’t get much more advanced than battery powered, motorized blasters.  The question is, which blasters are motorized and what are the best motorized blasters on the market? In this guide we show off our favourite NERF motorized blaster and highlight some of the excellent guns across the different ranges.

You may be asking yourself, “Why should I get a motorized blaster?” and the answer is simple – Domination! Motorized blasters fire faster and are often have huge dart capacities, making them some of the most impressive guns you can buy. If you want to take things to the next level we would seriously recommend picking up at least one of the blasters listed below.

NERF N-Strike Elite Stryfe Blaster

NERF N-Strike Elite Stryfe Blaster

Features

Motorized blaster

Tactical Rail for N-Strike Accessories

Includes NERF Elite Quick Reload Clip

75ft Range

Includes 6 NERF Elite Darts

Requires 4 AA batteries (Not Included)

The NERF N-Strike Elite Stryfe may not be the most impressive looking motorized blaster but it takes the top spot in our Best Motorized blaster list. The Stryfe is pretty much the perfect NERF gun (for us any way), the added inclusion of a motor to help fling your darts up to 75ft is just an added bonus!

The N-Strike Stryfe is clip fed semi-automatic blaster which lets you unload darts as quickly as you pull the trigger. The only downside to the stock Stryfe is that is only comes with a 6 dart clip which means you can quickly find yourself with no darts in the chamber. Luckily, the Stryfe is compatible with multiple N-Strike clip systems, if you want to add some additional capacity to your blaster, we recommend that you pick up an 18 dart quick reload clip from Amazon. Ammo limitations aside, the Stryfe is a seriously easy blaster to use and has an impressive range even if keep firing the trigger.

In order to get the Styfe’s motor running, all you need to do is hold down the accelerator switch below the trigger and you are good to go. If you are feeling a little adventurous then you may even consider picking up two for some dual-wielding fun!

The Stryfe comes with a 6 dart easy reload clip and 6 Elite darts but you will need to pick yourself up 4 AA batteries to get the motor working.

NERF N-Strike Mega Mastodon Blaster

Features

Motorized blaster

Fully automatic

24-dart rotating drum

100ft range

Includes 24 Mega Whistler darts

Includes 24 NERF Mega darts

Requires 6 D batteries (not included)

One of the main attractions of the NERF N-Strike Mega Mastodon is the massive dart capacity. Thanks to the inclusion of a 24-dart rotating drum, the Mastodon is one of the highest capacity guns on the market. Once you have loaded up your drum with 24 Mega darts, hold down the accelerator button located under the trigger and start raining down NERF mayhem. Unlike the Stryfe the Mastodon is a fully automatic blaster – so you can keep shooting until there is no ammo left!

The N-Strike Mastodon is an extremely impressive blaster but the sheer size makes it difficult to move and carry around; NERF have even included a shoulder strap to help carry it! The Mastodon comes with a 24-dart drum and 24 Mega darts, you will need to get 6 D batteries before you can start mowing down your enemies though.

NERF N-Strike Modulus ECS-10 Blaster

Nerf N-Strike Modulus ECS-10

Features

Motorized blaster

Fully customizable (More than 30 variations)

Tactical Rail

90ft range

Includes targeting scope, drop grip, shoulder stock & barrel extension

Includes 10 dart banana clip

Includes 10 NERF Elite Darts

Requires 4 AA batteries (not included)

The NERF N-Strike Modulus ECS-10 is the flagship blaster of the Modulus range. Although this is an absolutely amazing blaster, with tons of customizable features, we didn’t put it at the top of this list as it may be a bit intimidating for first time NERFers. That being said, if you are serious about NERF guns then this is a must have.

First things, first, the Modulus ECS-10 is the most accurate blaster we have seen here at NERF Reviews. If you want a motorized blaster but don’t want to sacrifice your accuracy then the ECS-10 is your dream gun. The stock blaster, with no attachments, is a relatively straightforward clip fed semi-automatic blaster which makes use of N-Strike Elite darts. It is easy to use and easy to reload thanks to the inclusion of a 10 dart banana clip. Where things get a little more technical is the additional modules that can be added to the Modulus ECS-10.

Out of the box you will find a targeting scope, drop grip, shoulder stock and barrel extension (phew) so there are loads of customizable options from the start. With the exception of the shoulder stock and barrel extension the grip and scope can be attached to the blaster via tactical rails dotted around the gun, there are two on the top of the barrel and one at the bottom. As a Modulus blaster, owning the ECS-10 opens up a huge array of options through the various modules, if you are interested in finding out more why not check out of NERF Modules page here.

The NERF Modulus ECS-10 comes with a 10 dart banana clip, 10 Elite darts but remember to get 4AA batteries as it won’t work otherwise!

NERF N-Strike Elite CS-18 Rapidstrike Blaster

Nerf CS-18 N-Strike Elite Rapidstrike

Features

Motorized blaster

Fully automatic

Collapsible stock

Flip up sight

Includes 18 dart clip

Includes 18 NERF Elite darts

Requires 4 C batteries (Not included)

The N-Strike Elite CS-18 Rapidstrike is the second N-Strike Elite blaster in our best motorized blaster list and although it may not be as good as the Stryfe it is a still a fun gun all the same. Where the Rapidstrike trumps the Styfe is the fact that it is a fully automatic blaster with an incredible rate of fire (as the name suggests). If you are looking for a seriously quick, automatic NERF gun and don’t like the bulk of the Mastodon then this could be the blaster for you.

Making use of an 18 dart, see through clip the N-Strike Elite CS-18 Rapid Strike is incredibly easy to use. Once you have loaded up, hold down the accelerator button and you are good to go. As the Rapidstrike is fully automatic, all you need to do is hold down the trigger and you will unleash dart hell until the clip runs out! One helpful addition to the Rapidstrike is that the clip is actually see-through, allowing you to keep an eye on your ammunition and make sure you have a reload ready for when you run out!

The one major drawback of the CS-18 Rapidstrike is accuracy. Although the Rapidstrike is one of the fastest blasters on the market this has taken a serious toll on the guns accuracy, perfect for spray ‘n’ pray but not so good for anyone looking to snipe their enemies. The Rapidstrike does include an extendable shoulder stock but this doesn’t do much to help. In all honestly, this blaster fires so quickly it is amazing you can hit anything!

The NERF N-Strike Rapidstrike comes with an 18 dart see-through clip and 18 Elite darts so ammo won’t be an issue. Please be aware that the Rapidstrike does require 4 C batteries.

Don’t for a second thing that we included the Rival Zeus as a token gun, this is an incredible blasting machine. Making full use of NERF’s High Impact rounds, the Zeus is quick fire, semi-automatic NERF gun with incredible range. Please be warned though, the NERF Rival range fires rounds at an alarming rate so we recommend you pick up a facemask just to be safe (you can grab one over at Amazon, here)

Featuring an ambidextrous magazine, simply load up the mag with your high impact NERF round and slot it back into the blaster from either the left or right (just make sure you load it the right way up!).
