So it is pretty clear that people love NERF guns but there are plenty more blasters out there and we are going to help you find them. As if the world of construction toys wasn’t enough for K’NEX they have now entered the world of foam dart blasters with their K-FORCE range.

Unlike NERF and BOOMco guns, all of the blasters in the K-FORCE range require some assembly and are technically known as S.T.E.A.M (science, technology, engineering, arts & math) toys. As and as such there is a real focus on customization and experimentation, and because this is K’NEX the level of customization available is almost infinite. If you don’t like the way the blaster looks, simply snap off a couple of pieces or rebuild it completely!

If you like getting your hands dirty and want to build your own blaster from scratch then K-FORCE may be perfect for you!

Features

Completely customizable: 335 pieces

Double shot blaster

6 dart storage

Fires up to 75ft

Includes 7 K-FORCE darts

Downloadable instructions: 5 unique blasters

The K-NEX K-FORCE Mega Boom blaster may not have as many pieces as the other guns in the range but one huge benefit is the inclusion of two blaster chambers! If you are looking for a dart gun with dual fire capabilities out of the box then the Mega Boom is definitely worth a look. What’s even better is the generous provision of 7 K-FORCE darts and 6 dart storage meaning you will never be going onto the blaster field without some spare ammunition.

As the Mega Boom features two blaster chambers you can get quite creative with the way you shoot but be warned you will need to manually prime each chamber so don’t get caught out! The inclusion of two quick grip handles means that however you configure the Mega Boom it is always going to be incredibly sturdy!

K’NEX K-FORCE Super Strike RotoShot Blaster

K’NEX K-FORCE Super Strike RotoShot Blaster

Features

Completely customizable: 201 pieces

5 shot rotating barrel

Fires up to 75ft

Includes 5 K-FORCE darts

Downloadable instructions: 4 unique blasters

The reason we put the K-FORCE Super Strike RotoShot below the other RotoShot blaster in our list (which is incidentally ranked number 1) is because they are almost identical to each other! We marked down the Super Strike because although it has many of the same great features there are actually less pieces included. With only 201 with the Super Strike vs. the 214 of the RotoShot we felt there was less customization offered with this blaster.

All that being said, the Super Strike RotoShot is still an amazing blaster. The 5 shot rotating barrel means you still have great fire capacity without the need to reload and once you get used to the pull back firing mechanism you will be unleashing darts at a rapid rate!

The Super Strike RotoShot comes with 5 F-FORCE darts and doesn’t require any batteries to get firing so you have everything you need to shoot out of the box! If you are looking for a few more ideas when it comes to customization the why not check out K’NEX’s instructions here?

K’NEX K-FORCE Battle Bow Blaster

Features

Completely customizable: 165 pieces

Single shot blaster

4 dart storage

Fires up to 75ft

Includes 5 K-FORCE darts

Downloadable instructions: 4 unique blasters

Although the K-FORCE Battle Bow styles itself as a bow blaster it actually doesn’t have real bow action. Nonetheless, the Battle Bow places in our top 10 thanks to a relatively low price point and the inclusion of 165 K’NEX pieces to help you customize your blaster.

The Battle Bow is actually one of the simplest blasters in the K-FORCE range. As a single shot, manual gun there isn’t much that can go wrong, plus it looks pretty intimidating with the huge bow curve mounted at the front. In order to get your blaster firing all you need to do it load up your dart into the front of the barrel, pull back the preload ring and you’re ready to go. Thanks to the inclusion of 2 dart holders, you can keep 4 darts on you at all times for when thing get messy!

The Battle Bow has a huge variety of customizations available thanks to the inclusion of 165 K’NEX pieces so even if you don’t like the look of the blaster now you can easily build it to your own specifications. K’NEX have even been kind enough to include instructions for 3 additional blasters in case you need some help to get started (instructions here). If you like tinkering with your dart blaster or just like the option to build something from scratch we recommend you seriously consider the Dual Cross.

When it comes to blasting, the Dual Cross is very effective. The blaster features two, front loaded barrels which can be fired simultaneously or one by one thanks to two separate triggers. You will need to load and prime your blaster manually but when you have two darts in the chamber you won’t have to worry too much about being outgunned! K’NEX K-FORCE K-10V Blaster

K’NEX K-FORCE K-10V Blaster

Features

Completely customizable: 83 pieces

Single shot blaster

Fires up to 75ft

Includes 5 K-FORCE darts

The K-FORCE K-10V is one of the most basic blasters you will find from K’NEX but it still places in our top 10 as it has one of the lowest prices points of all K-FORCE darts gun.

When it comes to the blaster itself, the K-10V is extremely simple. It features one blaster chamber and is a single shot, front loaded manual blaster. If you want to dip your toe into K-FORCE blasting without spending much then this is worth picking up.

The K-10V comes with 5 K-FORCE darts but doesn’t have any dart storage so you will need to think of a way to bring your extra darts into battle. Due to the low number of pieces (83) there aren’t many customizations options here but it does make a good addition to your K-FORCE collection if you already have another blaster from the range.

K’NEX K-FORCE Mini Cross Blaster

K'NEX K-FORCE Mini Cross Blaster

Features

Completely customizable: 82 pieces

Single shot blaster

Fires up to 75ft

Includes 5 K-FORCE darts

The Mini Cross blaster is the smallest gun in the K-FORCE range and like the K-10V it is extremely simple. The main selling point of the Mini Cross is that it is currently the cheapest blaster from K’NEX so if you are looking for a cheap STEAM toy or are looking for some additional pieces to your existing K-FORCE collection then it may be worth buying.

THe K-FORCE Mini Cross is a front loaded, single shot blaster which requires you to pull back on the pre-load ring to prime your blaster. Thanks to the inclusion of a K-FORCE quick fit grip, the Mini Cross is a sturdy (but tiny blaster). There are definitely better blasters on the market but you will struggle to find a cheaper K-FORCE.
