NERF N-Strike Mega Motostryke

NERF N-Strike Mega Motostryke

Features

Motorized blaster

Semi-automatic

10 dart, transparent clip

1x Tactical rail

Sling mount

Integrated shoulder stock

Includes 10 NERF Mega darts

Requires 4 “C” batteries

Well, doesn’t the NERF Mega Motostryke look awesome? We’re not sure if it’s the dabbled red textures painted across the blaster or the serious chunky size but we are in love with this gun – throw in the fact that this is a motorized semi-auto with a transparent clip and you may never look at another NERF gun the same way.

The Motostryke is a solid blaster, weighing just over 5 pounds, everything on the blaster is big – there is an oversized blaster stock to help you keep stability in your shots, a chunky fore-grip and even a hook for a sling (in case it gets too heavy). To get shooting, you will need to load up your 10 dart clip, slot it into the bottom of the blaster, and hold down the motor-acceleration button. The Motostryke is a semi-automatic NERF gun, so you will need to pull the trigger for each shot, but if you have a quick finger, you won’t lose too much time on opponents touting full-autos – you’ll also be able to keep an eye on how much ammo you have left thanks to the transparent clip!

As you have probably worked out, we really like the Motostryke – it’s big, mean, and has everything included.

NERF Mega XL Boom Dozer

NERF Mega XL Boom Dozer blaster

Features

Single shot

Pump action

Slam-Fire

Shoulder stock attachment point

1x Tactical rail

Integrated 6 Dart drum

Includes 6 NERF Mega XL darts

Ever looked at your NERF gun and thought “I wish I could fire homogeneous darts…”? Now you can. Blasters in the NERF Mega XL series fire some of the largest darts we have ever seen!

The flagship blaster in the Mega XL series is the aptly named Boom Dozer Blaster. Load this puppy up, and you’ll be flinging massive darts across the battlefield in no time. The XL Boom Dozer Blaster comes equipped with an integrated rotating drum that holds up to six darts. At the bottom of the blaster, there is a pump-action slider. Once you are fully loaded, simply pump the slide to rotate the drum and pull the trigger to pop off a shot. The Boom Dozer also incorporates slam-fire action, so if you want to fire in rapid succession, simply hold down the trigger and pump away.

The Boom Dozer blaster comes with six Official NERF Mega XL foam darts, and like their smaller Mega dart cousins, they whistle as they streak through the air. Not only will your enemies be cowering in fear due to the size of the XL darts, but they’ll hear them coming too.

The Boom Dozer incorporates a single tactical rail located on top, and there is a detachable stock attachment point at the back, just in case you wanted to add a few of your own NERF accessories.

NERF N-Strike MEGA DoubleBreach

NERF N-Strike Elite DoubleBreach Blaster

Breech-loaded

Double-barrel blasting

Fires 1 dart at a time (two in a row)

Up to 90 feet (27 meters) range

Pump-action

Barrel mounted 4 dart storage

The NERF N-Strike Mega DoubleBreach blaster is an absolute classic. This breach-loaded, pump-action bad boy is a must-have for any NERF fan. The DoubleBreach also makes a great first-time blaster as it is easy to use and rarely jams up.

Simply slide back the breach cover, load up two darts, pump and fire away! Each shot requires a pump, but the double loading means you have two shots in the chamber.

Your opponents won’t know what hit them when you double-strike them from up to 90ft! If the DoubleBreach wasn’t convenient enough already, this blaster also features storage for up to 4 Mega Whistler darts along the barrel, meaning you will never be far away from a quick reload.

The DoubleBreach comes with 6 Mega Whistler darts, so if your enemies aren’t scared seeing you walk onto the field, they will be when you start sending screaming darts their way!

NERF MEGA Mastodon

Features

Fully Automatic

Motorized blaster

24-dart rotating drum

Includes 24 Mega Whistler darts

Includes shoulder strap

Requires 6 D batteries

The NERF N-Strike MEGA Mastodon is a monster blaster.

There is no question of tactics, trick shots, or long-range snipes; when you have the Mastodon, you will simply mow down the competition.

The MEGA Mastodon is a massive blaster, but don’t for a second think that it is all bark and no bite. Featuring a 24-dart motor-powered rotating drum, the Mastodon can unleash a storm of whistler darts over 100 feet.

Due to the sheer size of the Mastodon, Hasbro has kindly included a shoulder strap to help you carry this monstrosity around the field. You may not be sprinting around the field, but this blaster will make you an unstoppable juggernaut.

The Mastodon includes the 24-dart drum and 24 Mega whistler darts, but please note that it requires 6 D batterie

NERF N-Strike Mega Twinshock

NERF N-Strike Mega Twinshock blaster

Features

Manual blaster

Front loaded

Includes 10 Mega darts

3 way to fire: 1 dart, 2 dart, slam fire

Slam-fire

The Twinshock has a few tricks up its sleeve. This impressive two-handed manual blaster is front-loaded with up to 10 darts at a time and gives you 3 ways to fire – single shot, double shot(!) and rapid slam fire(!!).

The Twinshock is primed using a slam-fire slider located at the bottom of the blaster and this is where things get interesting. Pulling the trigger slowly will fire off one dart, a quick squeeze will unload 2 darts, and holding the trigger down while pumping the priming mechanism will unleash darts with each pump.

Though front-loaded blasters may not be the most innovative, they rarely jam, and the inclusion of 3 fire types makes it a firm favorite.

If you are looking for a fun blaster at a relatively cheap price, then we would definitely recommend the TwinShock.

NERF N-Strike Mega Big Shock

Nerf N-Strike Mega Big Shock Blaster

Features

Manual blaster

Front loaded

Fits in the palm of your Hand

Store extra dart on the top

Includes 2 mega darts

The MEGA Big Shock blaster is like the big brother (or sister) of the Elite Jolt and, like any older sibling, there are a few differences.

The major change with the Big Shock is the fact that it fires MEGA darts rather than Elite darts. This small change has a big impact; the power of this pocket-sized blaster is impressive.

Another little change is the inclusion of single dart storage on the top of the blaster, now you have easy access to an extra dart.

Loading the Big Shock is very easy; simply pop in your dart of choice, pull down the hammer, and fire away! The fact that the Big Shock can be kept in a pocket or on your belt means it’s a great secret weapon or last-ditch attempt to get a dart off. Highly recommended.

NERF N-Strike MEGA Megalodon

NERF N-Strike Mega Megalodon blaster

Features

Manual blaster

Front loaded

Includes 20 NERF Mega darts

Includes 20-dart rotating drum

Crank to fire

You have to give it to the guys at Hasbro when it comes to the MEGA range – they create some of the wackiest and over-sized blasters on the market, they must have a lot of fun.

The Megalodon (ha!) is a chunky “crank-fire” drum blaster that can fire up to 20 darts before needing to be reloaded.

Don’t let the “crank-fire” idea throw you; this is a classic slam-fire blaster, but rather than using a slide mechanism, Hasbro has fitted the Megalodon with an easy-to-grip handle which you “crank” back to prime.

If you like to throw a bit of showmanship into your blasting game, then MEGA blasters are always the way to go, and the Megalodon is a good addition to any arsenal. It’s not our favorite in the range, but it’s still a heavy hitter if you like the design.

NERF N-Strike AccusStrike Mega Bulldog

NERF N-Strike AccusStrike Mega Bulldog blaster

Features

Manual blaster

Front loaded

Includes 6 AccuStrike Mega darts

Transforming blaster

Swing-down grip, stock and sight

3 dart storage

The Mega Bulldog is a neat little transforming blaster – excellent for compact play. Swinging down the included, front-mounted grip will transform the blaster from a NERF pistol into a more stable blaster. When you engage the swing-down grip, the Bulldog’s stock extends backwards and a hanging sight flips up on top – magic!

The Bulldog is a front-loaded 3-slot blaster with a pull-back priming mechanism located at the back. Making use of AccuStrike Mega darts, the Bulldog is pretty accurate, and its small size makes it perfect for players who like to run-and-gun. Throw in the included tactical rail slot (located on top of the blaster), and you have a very neat package.

NERF Mega XL Big Rig

NERF Mega XL Big Rig Blaster.

Features

Single shot

Front loaded

Slide priming mechanism

2x Dart storage

1x Tactical rail

Includes 3 NERF Mega XL Darts

The Magnus blaster is beautifully simple. It doesn’t include any fancy tricks, but it is compact, reliable, and easy to use. If you are looking for a simple first-time blaster, then the Magnus is a good place to start.

The Magnus delivers a hefty punch with a range of up to 85ft. An interesting feature is the inclusion of an internal clip, which means you simply load up three mega darts and then fire away. There is no need to reload on each shot.

Overall, the Magnus offers a simple but great experience. There are some more complex blasters out there, but if you want something easy to use, then this blaster is for you.

NERF N-Strike Mega CycloneShock

NERF N-Strike Elite Mega CycloneShock Blaster

Features

Manual blaster

Front loaded

Fires Nerf Mega Darts

Fires up to 90ft

Rotating drum with six shot capacity

The Cyclone Shock is a simple front-loaded drum blaster. Load up the six-shot rotating drum, and you are good to go.

Make use of the rotating six-dart drum and unleash streams of darts across the field without having to reload. People won’t know what hit them!

Overall, the Cyclone Shock is solid and won’t let you down when things get heated, but it may not be the most exciting addition to your arsenal. It’s worth a look if you are just getting started, but we would recommend picking a blaster further up the list if you are a full-blown NERFhead.
