NERF Fortnite AR-L

NERF Fortnite AR-L Blaster

Features

Semi-Automatic

Motorized blaster

10 dart clip

1x Tactical rail

2x Flip up sights

Includes 20 NERF Elite Fortnite darts

Requires 4 AA batteries

The NERF Fortnite AR-L is a semi-automatic, motorized blaster modeled on the legendary skinned Fortnite AR. If the canary yellow color style doesn’t quite do it for you, there are a few choices available (our favorite being the Durrr-Burger).

Aside from our excitement that we can now recreate some of our favorite Fortnite moments in real life, the AR-L is a tidy NERFing machine. Hasbro hasn’t just phoned it in for a quick cash grab here; the AR-L has all of the features that you have come to love from other ranges.

The generous inclusion of 20 darts combined with a 10-dart clip means that not only can you stay on the field longer, but you’ll also have enough darts to fill an entire clip for easy reloading. Trust us, you are going to need those extra darts as the inbuilt motor means you are going to be popping off shots as fast as you can pull the trigger. To make sure you aren’t firing blindly, the AR-L features two flip-up sites and a long tactical rail located on top of the blaster, so even if the sights don’t help you can always pop on an additional scope for added accuracy. If one of your darts does get jammed in your NERFing frenzy, there is a jam door located on the barrel so you can quickly unclog and get back to firing.

The Fortnite AR-L is a great entry into the NERF universe and proves that just because it’s a collaboration, it doesn’t have to be bad. If you do run out of Fortnite darts, don’t worry, the AR-L fires standard Elite darts as well (phew).

NERF Fortnite B-AR

Fortnite B-AR NERF GUN

Features

Semi-automatic

Motorized blaster

Integrated scope

Includes vertical foregrip

Includes 10 dart clip

2x Tactical rails

Includes 10 Red/White Fortnite NERF dart

Requires 4 “C” batteries (not included)

Based on the ingame Legendary Burst Assault Rifle, the NERF Fortnite B-AR feels tactical and comes with a lovely Converge wrap to boot. Similar in a number of ways to the AR-L, the B-AR ups the ante with the addition of another tactical rail (making a total of two) and an integrated scope mounted on top.

The B-AR sure looks the business but, like the AR-L, we are a little disappointed with the included 10-dart clip. As a semi-automatic NERF gun, you will quickly run through the included 10 darts and with no dart storage, it could land you in a sticky situation. We recommend, if the B-AR is your blaster of choice, to consider picking up an additional, larger magazine – you can check them out on our NERF accessories page – that way you will also have an easy ammo swap at hand.

The Fortnite B-AR is nicely put together. The integrated shoulder stock combined with the foregrip at the front makes this a very stable NERF gun. If you are looking to pull off some commando rolls or just frantically run around, then the added stability may be a saving grace. The integrated scope also means that the B-AR is ready and waiting when you need to pull off those tricky long-range headshots.

The Fortnite B-AR comes with two tactical rails (one at the bottom and one on top of the scope) so there are plenty of options for customization. As a motorized blaster, you will need to pick up 4 “C” batteries to get it working, and they aren’t included in the box, so stock up to avoid disappointment.

NERF Fortnite TS-R

NERF Fortnite TS-R Blaster

Features

Manual blaster

Pump action

Slam Fire

Breech loaded

Internal 4 dart clip

Includes 8 NERF MEGA Fortnite darts

Includes 3 Lama targets

The NERF Fortnite TS-R is modeled on the in-game Tactical shotgun and features a pump-action priming mechanism and plenty of dart storage. Making use of an internal 4 dart clip and 4 dart storage located in the blaster stock, you can blaze on the blasting field without a care in the world.

The TS-R is primed by sliding back the pump-action handle located at the bottom of the blaster. Once you have slid the mechanism back, it will also expose the internal dart chamber on the underside, making reloading a breeze. As you have space for 4 darts in the integrated stock, you’ll be able to carry at least one reload with you before each encounter. As a manual blaster, you will need to pull the trigger each time you prime, but if that feels like too much work, hold down the trigger, and with each pump, you’ll shoot off a round.

The TS-R also features a non-functioning display monitor on the right-hand side, which doesn’t actually do anything but does add a bit of Fortnite flair. If you were hoping to see your enemies’ vital signs displayed in real-time, we’re sorry to disappoint. As a little bonus, this version of the TS-R comes with 3 different-sized Lama targets, just in case you wanted to practice your aim or start some friendly NERF competitions.

NERF Fortnite Heavy SR

Features

Manual blaster

Bolt-action

Integrated bipod

Integrated shoulder stock

Includes 6 dart clip

1x sling attachment point

1x Tactical Rail

Includes 6 Fortnite NERF darts

If you have been on NERF Reviews before, you’ll know we have a bit of an obsession with NERF Sniper rifles – it may be that there aren’t many out there or just that they look so damn cool! So, the Fortnite Heavy SR NERF gun is an absolute treat!

The Heavy SR is the longest Fortnite NERF gun currently available (which makes sense considering it is a sniper rifle) and with all that extra length, it’s great to see an integrated shoulder stock and flip-up bipod included. Find your perfect blasting spot, set up shop by flipping the bipod down (perhaps in some bushes at the top of a hill?) and you are ready to start sniping your enemies – they will never know what hit them!

There are a couple of drawbacks to the Heavy SR though. The NERF sniper only includes one tactical rail (on top) which you will most likely want to use for the included scope attachment – you don’t have to add the scope but it feels a bit annoying that you can’t throw on your own attachments. The second drawback is the limited magazine capacity, only storing up to 6 darts, so you are certainly going to have to choose your shots wisely to ensure you don’t get left out in the open with no ammo.

The Fortnite Heavy SR wins a lot of love just by being a sniper and if you love that bolt-action firing mechanism (and Fortnite, of course) this is certainly a must-have.

NERF Fortnite SR

NERF Fortnite SR Blaster

Features

Manual blaster

Hammer-action

Includes detachable scope

1x Tactical Rail

Includes 8 Fortnite Elite darts

The Fortnite SR is a chunky monkey, based on the in-game Scope Revolver this single shot magnum has a lot going for it. Although it may look like a revolver, it uses smart air restrictor technology to let you front-load 4 darts and fire them in sequence. If you don’t have enough time (or darts) for a full reload, don’t worry, the blaster will still fire even if one dart is loaded up.

Thanks to the inclusion of a hammer priming mechanism, the SR can actually be fired one-handed (if you are dexterous enough). With the blaster in hand, use your thumb to slide back the hammer located behind the scope and then pick your shot. The included sight on top will help keep your enemies in your sights before your inevitable victory. If you find the scope a little too much, it’s easy to pop off and free up the tactical rail to use for any of your other accessories or attachments.

We really like the SR, the brash and bold style makes it feel like you are packing some serious firepower and with 4 darts in the chamber, you have enough darts to win any NERF battle. A definite must for any fan of NERF guns and Fortnite.

NERF Fortnite SP-R

NERF Fortnite SP-R blaster

Features

Manual blaster

Slide action

Integrated sights

3 dart integrated clip

Includes barrel extension

Includes 6 Fortnite NERF darts

Includes 3 Llama targets

The NERF Fortnite SP-R is styled on the in-game suppressed pistol with a rare skin (there is also a legendary variant if blue isn’t your style). The SP is a lovely little blaster and a perfect addition to any arsenal (Fortnite-themed or not). The styling is fantastic, and there is even a little “Shhhh” embossed on the side, just in case people didn’t know you were using a suppressed pistol.

The SP-R includes a detachable barrel extension silencer, which doesn’t give you any noise reduction, but does add to the character of the blaster for added role-play. The actual guts are nice and simple: slide back the priming mechanism on top of the blaster, drop three darts into the integrated clip, and you’re ready to blast!

If you are like us and like to take an extra moment to line up your shot, the SP has an integrated reflex-style sight located at the back of the blaster – perfect for squaring the perfect shot. There are no tactical rails on the SP, but with the inclusion of themed barrel extension, we aren’t complaining much. This is a relatively cheap way to enjoy NERF Fortnite without having to worry about batteries or mechanisms going wrong

NERF Fortnite BASR-L

NERF Fortnite BASR-L Blaster

Features

Manual blaster

Bolt action

NERF Sniper

1x Tactical rail

6 dart clip

Includes 12 NERF Elite Fortnite darts

Based on the Legendary skinned bolt action sniper rifle from the game, the Fortnite BASR-L comes in two flavors (colors). If you are after the original legendary skin, you need to get the BASR-L, but there is also the blue BASR-R which also comes with 3 mini bush targets for practice.

Looking beyond the skins, the Fortnite BASR-L is a bit of a rarity itself. We don’t often see many NERF snipers come through the door, and when we do, we tend to get a little excited. The BASR-L is a simple piece of kit, combining an ambidextrous bolt action priming mechanism with a 6 dart removal clip. It may not win any innovation awards, but it’s certainly an easy introduction to NERF snipers, and the inclusion of 12 darts means you will have plenty of ammo to practice your targeting skills. If you decide to go for the R variant, you’ll even have three bush mobs to target, so no excuse for not being a pro-blaster in short order.

The BASR-R only comes with one tactical rail, located on top of the blaster, and you will need to remove the included scope before you start throwing on your own customizations and attachments. The scope doesn’t offer any magnification, so if you are looking for greater precision, it may be worth slotting on your own preferred scope or red dot sight (you will be messing with the Fortnite styling though). As a clip-based blaster, reloading is nice and easy (if you have some more clips to spare), and the clip release is right in front of the trigger, so an absolute breeze to drop and clip and slot a new one in.

In all, a solid NERF sniper, but as they are so few and far between, it would have been great to see some new tricks or treats. If you’re a fan of Fortnite style, this is a must for any sniper fanatic.

NERF Fortnite SMG-E

NERF Fortnite SMG-E Blaster

Features

Semi-automatic

Motorized blaster

6 dart clip

Includes 6 Elite darts

Requires 4 AA batteries

Top marks for styling! The Fortnite SMG-E is an epic rarity motorized blaster which reminds us a lot of the NERF Elite Stryfe. The design of this blaster is top-notch, capturing Fortnite’s tactical SMG perfectly, even down to the spikes mounted on the muzzle.

Combining a six-dart clip with motorized flywheel internals, there isn’t much that could go wrong, but there certainly isn’t a whole lot to love either. Throw in the fact that the SMG-E doesn’t include any tactical rails and only comes with 6 Elite darts, and we can’t help but feel let down.

In terms of performance, the SMG-E is a semi-automatic blaster, so you will need to pull the trigger for each shot. Make sure that you are holding down the acceleration button (located just under the trigger) to get the flywheel spinning, and be careful not to hit the clip release, which is directly in front! For any pesky dart jams, the jam door is located on top, so you can flip open the chamber and scoop out any bent darts.

This isn’t a bad blaster (certainly not), but when comparing it to the likes of the AR-L, it doesn’t seem like you are getting much bang for your buck! Although it does look pretty sweet… O.K, maybe now we see the appeal.

NERF Fortnite SMG-Zesty

NERF Fortnite SMG-Zesty

Features

Manual blaster

Slam-Fire

Includes 10 dart clip

Includes barrel extension

Includes shoulder stock

Includes 10 Fortnite NERF darts

The Fortnite SMG-Zesty is a tasty little 4-in-one blaster. Based on the in-game Suppressed Submachine gun, the Zesty includes both a detachable shoulder stock and barrel extension, so you can quickly switch up the gun’s design based on your battlefield needs.

Customization aside, the Fortnite Zesty is a simple slam-fire NERF gun that includes a 10 dart clip (as well as 10 darts), so you have everything you need straight out of the box. To prime the Zesty, you’ll need to slide back the mechanism located on the top of the blaster, and if you hold down the trigger, you’ll pop off a shot with each pump!

All in all, the Fortnite SMG-Zesty is a solid NERF gun, but if we have to be brutal, there’s nothing to write home about. Even though there are some nice customization options thanks to the detachable stock and barrel, compared to other blasters in the Fortnite NERF range, you’re probably better off spending your money elsewhere, unless you really dig that Zesty wrap that is…

NERF Fortnite GL

NERF Fortnite GL Blaster

Features

NERF Missile Launcher

Pump Action

6 missile rotating drum

1x Tactical rail

Includes 6 Fortnite Missiles

Sometimes you just have to say “fudge it”, cast away your hyper-accurate NERF blaster and bring out the big guns. If you want to strike fear into your enemies’ hearts (with a little Fortnite flair) then check out the Fortnite GL. There will be no escaping you as you march straight down the middle of the blasting field unloading missile after missile at your hapless opponents.

All fun and games aside, as the GL is a NERF missile blaster there are no springs or fancy mechanisms in place to fling your darts over long distances. Instead, you are going to have to rely on your own horsepower to pump the priming mechanism and force a flow of air into the chamber; so if you are feeling lazy, your missiles aren’t going to go far!

There are two openings located on the front of the drum housing which allow you to load up your missiles and with each pump, the drum will rotate – so no need to reload after each shot. For extra customization, there is a slanted tactical rail on top of the blaster which won’t be much help if you want to attach a scope but a blaster shield may work?

Overall, the Fortnite GL is a fun missile blaster which looks fantastic but fails to deliver much of a punch when compared to some other blasters in the range. If you are looking for the wow factor or just want to have some fun it’s worth checking out.

NERF Fortnite HC-E

NERF Fortnite HC-E blaster

Features

Manual blaster

Front loaded

Includes 3 MEGA Fortnite Darts

There isn’t a lot going on with the Fortnite HC but that isn’t really the end of the world for this single-shot pistol blaster. Modeled on the Fortnite Hand Cannon, the HC is a no frills front loaded blaster with a simple slide priming mechanism located at the top.

As a nod to the original Hand Cannon the HC fires chunkier MEGA darts as opposed to the slimier Elite darts which certainly beefs up the punch of your shots. You won’t be able to lay down much suppressing fire but if you are a trick shot and maybe fancy strapping two of these slick killers on you’ll still be a menace on the field.

NERF pistols are always a funny one, they don’t offer the firepower of some of the more advanced blasters but sometimes you just want something simple and the HC is simple in spades. It looks cool, fires chunky darts and doesn’t require a manual to work out how to shoot.

NERF Fortnite RL

NERF Fortnite RL Blaster

Features

NERF Missile launcher

Pump action

Integrated sights

Includes 2 NERF Fortnite missiles

The Fortnite RI is definitely wild and wacky, out of all blasters in the range, the RL wins hands down when it comes to style. This oversized rocket launcher features 2 oversized integrated sights, stock and a rather fearsome motif at the front for added fear factor.

There isn’t much to the RL. It’s a pump-action, single-shot missile launcher which is loaded from the front. Mount your missile, swing into position and send a missile your enemies’ way – that’s it. Like the Fortnite GL, the RL relies on your own strength to launch missiles so it’s going to be tough going if you want to keep a rapid fire rate up.

Like a lot of NERF missile blasters the RL is much more about having fun and role-playing than being a serious competitive blaster. It looks fantastic and if you have room for one more blaster in the cupboard, why not?

NERF Fortnite DP-E

NERF Fortnite DP-E blasters

Features

Manual blaster

Dual wielding
Front loaded

Barrel extension point

Includes 12 Fortnite Darts

We won’t spend too much time talking about the Fortnite DP-E, but if someone presents us with dual-wielding pistols, we are certainly going to write something about them!

The DP-E is a set of two Fortnite pistols that are essentially reskinned HCs. Unlike the HCs, however, the DP-E blaster fires Elite darts and has done away with the reflex-style sight on top. The priming mechanism is the same, and the integrated 3-dart clip is still there, but as an added bonus, both blasters in the back include a barrel extension point located on the muzzle.

Double trouble, but not much more than what you could get if you picked up two HC-Es, which we would actually recommend as the inclusion of MEGA capabilities certainly makes them more fun.

NERF Fortnite Pump SG

NERF Fortnite Pump SG

Features

Manual blaster

Pump-action

Breech loaded

Includes 4 Fortnite NERF Mega darts

Ok, we know the Fortnite Pump SG may look the business, but we are pretty disappointed with the way it turned out.

The Pump SG is a pump-action, breech-loaded blaster, but thanks to no clip or dart storage, you will need to load the breech before each shot – not ideal for those high-pressure moments on the battlefield. To make matters even worse, we can’t help but feel a little let down by Hasbro only including 4 Fortnite NERF Mega darts. Like, come on, at least give us a few more darts if you are going to be stingy on the blaster features.

If you are after a NERF shotgun or just really love the Fortnite Pump, this may be worth adding to your arsenal, but if not, it’s one to skip.
