The NERF Elite 2.0 range is a much needed update to the stellar (but now slightly data) N-Strike Elite blaster series and though we are sad to wave goodbye to the original Elites, we’re not too sad as the 2.0 blasters are awesome!

Blasters in the 2.0 series develop on some of the best features across the NERF range, making full use of tactical rail customization as well sporting some very sleek designs. You won’t need to go out and buy a load of new darts either, Elite 2.0 works with standard Elite darts so don’t go panic buying just yet!

NERF Elite 2.0 Phoenix CS-6 blaster blaster blaster

Features

Semi-Automatic

Motorized blaster

Includes 12 Elite darts

Includes 6 dart clip

Includes removal scope

5 tactical rails

Well, well well, Hasbro has got a lot of things right with the Elite 2.0 Phoenix – perhaps it is symbolic that the best 2.0 has to offer is name after the bird of rebirth but then again, I think I am just trying to stretch a metaphor… The Phoenix is a compact NERFing machine – a motorized blaster which goes straight into our best motorized NERF blasters and top 10 NERF blasters roundups thanks to the huge range of customization options (thanks tactical rails), included scope and reasonable pricing.

The blaster is a small, lightweight, motorized marvel – sporting 5 tactical rails and stock attachment slots you can customize this blaster in pretty much every way imaginable. Pair the customization options with a lovely 6 dart clip and large targeting scope and you have found a match made in heaven. The Phoenix may not max out ammo capacity but if you are an agile player who is after a motorized blaster, look no further!

NERF Elite 2.0 Volt SD-1

NERF Elite 2.0 Volt SD-1 blaster

Features

Manual blaster

Front loaded

Includes 4 Elite darts

Targeting light beam

With the introduction of the Elite 2.0 series we say goodbye to one of our favorite pocket blasters, the Elite Jolt but in doing so say a joyous welcome to the Elite 2.0 Volt! While we may be nostalgic for the old Jolt, the Volt improves on its predecessor in every way.

The Elite 2.0 Volt may be a pocket blaster but don’t we beg you not to overlook this little treat. The Volt is a compact blaster, perfect for those sticky situations where you find yourself staring down an enemy with no ammo and thanks to the inbuilt targeting light beam you can quickly pop off a super accurate shot and claim victory! To make things even more magical, the Volt includes 2 tactical rails (top and bottom) so you can attach your favorite accessories for a truly custom experience.

As a single shot, front loaded blaster this won’t be your primary weapon but with a generous inclusion of 4 NERF darts you will have plenty of rounds to spare. Priming is easy-peasy, pull back the priming plunger and you are good to go.

NERF Elite 2.0 Commander RD-6

Features

Manual blaster

Barrel loaded

Includes 12 Elite darts

Slam-fire

he NERF Elite 2.0 Commander is the perfect, no frills, entry level blaster for the Elite 2.0 series. You won’t get much in terms of accessories and add ons out of the box but the inclusion of three tactical rails (1 top and 2 bottom), excellent design and low price gives the Commander two thumbs up in our book.

The Commander is a slam-fire, front loaded blaster with a rotating 6-dart drum which means your firing speed is only limited by how fast you can pull the trigger. Hasbro have also been pretty generous with the blaster, including 12 darts in the box so you’ll have a reload ready to go without having to buy any additional darts.

This is a compact blaster with tonnes of customization choices, we especially like the fact that there is a rail located below the trigger guard. If you are looking for something cheap with the opportunity to add to later, definitely worth a look.

NERF Elite 2.0 Shockwave RD-15

NERF Elite 2.0 Shockwave RD-15 blaster

Features

Manual blaster

Includes 30 Elite darts

15 dart Rotating drum

3 tactical rails

If you are after something with a little more capacity than the Commander then look no further than the Elite 2.0 Shockwave. With a 15 dart capacity (thanks to it’s rotating drum) gives you plenty of ammo to play with but it is a little bit bulkier so be willing to trade ammo for agility.

The shockwave features a slam-fire priming mechanism, located at the bottom of the blaster making it a breeze to prime and shoot. The 15 dart rotating drum is front loaded and easily accessible meaning you won’t have to spend too long on your reloads. Once again Hasbro have been kind enough to include 30 darts so you will have plenty of spare darts in the unlikely scenario you haven’t pummelled your opponent into submission. Throw in 3 tactical rails and you have a base blaster with loads of customization options.

NERF Elite 2.0 Echo CS-10

NERF Elite 2.0 Echo CS-10 blaster

Features

Manual blaster

Clip loaded

Includes 24 Elite darts

Includes 10 dart clip

Includes barrel and stock extensions

The NERF Elite 2.0 Echo is a one-stop-shop when it comes to customizable blasters. Out of the box you’ll not only get the Echo base blaster but removable stock and barrel extension, if that’s not enough the Echo includes 5(!) tactical rails – this is a customizer dream NERF gun.

The Echo is a slam-fire blaster which is rather annoyingly located at the top. Though this is a solid blaster we aren’t the biggest fans of the priming mechanism at the top of the blaster as it can be quite fiddly to fire and pump at the same time. That being said, the Echo uses vertical clips which mean you can easily swap in your reloads once you have exhausted your ammo.

This may not be the best the Elite 2.0 series has to offer in terms of firepower but if you have a load of attachments burning to be added to a blaster you will definitely enjoy the 5 tactical rails included with this blaster.
