HALO is perhaps the most influential shooter that has ever been released. All the way back in 2001, we can remember booting up Combat Evolved for the first time and being instantly hooked. Now 20 years later, we can finally realize a long-dormant dream – blasting our friends with HALO NERF guns!

In line with the release of Halo Infinite, the HALO NERF range features some of the weapons you will be wielding in-game as well as some fan favorites from the original series (The Needler!). We still remember the days when we were told to “Finish the fight” and it seems that, like Master Chief, we aren’t ready to let go. With the new generation of HALO launched we have a feeling we will be playing the game (and with these nifty NERF blasters) for years to come.

Sorry, what?! This is the NERF gun of our dreams! NERF has pulled out all the stops with this special edition (fully-automatic) HALO Needler blaster. This is truly a must-have for any HALO or NERF fan – the absolute pinnacle of the blasting experience. We can’t tell you how excited we are (but perhaps you can tell?).

It is a little difficult to know where to begin with the NERF HALO Needler – just look at it, it’s outstanding. The quality of materials and attention to detail are fantastic. Not only does it have the iconic purple “needles” sprouting from the top but it features a touch-sensitive activation to get them glowing like the real thing. The amazingness doesn’t stop there either! The Needler is a fully-automatic NERF gun, which means you don’t even need to hold down an acceleration button to start shooting; once this blaster is spooled up, you are ready to decimate your enemies. When it comes to the actual blasting, the NERF Needler incorporates a 10-dart rotating drum which can be loaded at the front of the blaster – you will need to put your hand in the maw of the gun though, so try and keep steady!

Better yet, when you need a break from NERF wars (or you just want to admire this thing of beauty), the Needler comes with a Forerunner-inspired stand and display mode. Perfect when you need to kick back and just bask in the glory of the NERF HALO Needler.

This certainly is a rarity and we don’t expect stocks to last long, so if you are a HALO fan or just appreciate an amazing NERF gun, you need to go buy this blaster NOW!

NERF HALO MA40

NERF Halo MA40

Features

Semi-automatic

Motorized blaster

Includes 10 dart clip

1x Tactical rails

1x scope

1x rail riser

Includes 10 Elite darts

Requires 4 “C” batteries (not included)

Includes unlock code for HALO Infinite

There is something special about seeing the HALO MA40 rendered in its full NERF glory, and as blasters go, it’s not too shabby either. The NERF MA40 is a lightweight, semi-automatic blaster that includes a 10-dart clip and 10 HALO-themed Elite darts.

As a semi-automatic, the MA40 requires you to hold down the acceleration button (located under the trigger) to activate. Once the flywheel is spinning, each pull of the trigger will shoot off an Elite dart. Along with the lovely HALO color scheme, the MA40 includes a tactical rail and rail riser to allow you to attach the included HALO scope on top. Unfortunately, the scope is only for decoration and has an ammo sticker on the front, so if you were looking for zoom, you will be a little disappointed. It is also unfortunate that the MA40 only includes one rail, as it would have been fun to throw on some additional NERF attachments, but as you’ll be having too much fun re-enacting some of your favorite HALO scenes, you may not mind too much.

All in all, the NERF HALO MA40 is a solid blaster. It doesn’t come with too many frills, but this is one built for the fans. If you love HALO, then this is a must-have. If you are looking for a bit more firepower, why not check out our best motorized blasters page for more inspiration

NERF HALO Bulldog Shotgun

NERF Halo Bulldog Shotgun

Features

Manual blaster

Pump-action

Slam-fire

10 dart rotating drum

Integrated shoulder stock

2x flip-up sights

5x Tactical rails

Includes 10 Elite darts

Includes unlock code for HALO Infinite

Alas, the NERF HALO Bulldog is not the legendary M90 shotgun, but where we may be a little disappointed that we can’t play with our favorite shotty, the Bulldog certainly tries to make up for it with raw NERF joy.

The HALO Bulldog is a pump-action shotgun NERF gun that makes use of a 10-dart rotating drum to help you pop off your shots with relative ease. Each pump of the priming mechanism (located on the underside of the barrel) will rack up your next shot, and it’s only a matter of pulling the trigger to unleash your dart. The Bulldog also includes slam-fire action, so as long as you hold down the trigger, each pump will send a round your enemies’ way.

The inclusion of a vertical fore-grip on the priming mechanism makes this an extremely easy-to-use NERF gun, and the integrated shoulder stock affords you a lot of stability on your blasting. When it comes to customization, it seems like HASBRO took all of the tactical rails not featured on the MA40 and whacked them on here instead. The Bulldog includes 5 tactical rails (located on the top and sides of the gun) so if you want to throw on your own attachments – have at it!

When it comes to performance, the Bulldog is robust and easy to use. The inclusion of two flip-up sights also helps with some of those more tricky shots. The limited size of the rotating drum (10 darts) is a little disappointing, but as far as NERF shotguns go, this is a real winner (and it looks the part too!).

NERF HALO Mangler

NERF Halo Mangler

Features

Manual blaster

Revolver style

Slam-fire

6 dart rotating drum

1x Tactical rails

Includes 6 Elite darts

Includes unlock code for HALO Infinite

If you’re an odd individual who always roots for the bad guy, you’re in luck! The NERF HALO Mangler is a recreation of the in-game Mangler revolver, which will let you play as the evil Covenant forces.

The Mangler is a manual blaster that includes a 6-dart rotating drum and 6 Elite darts. Once you’re fully loaded, all you need to do is pull back the priming handle before you can start shooting down those pesky Spartans. The Mangler also features slam-fire action, so if you hold down the trigger, each pull of the handle will pop off a shot.

In terms of customization, there’s a small tactical rail located at the top of the blaster, ready for you to add a scope or desired attachment. The styling of the Mangler is gorgeous, featuring a plastic “blade” at the front of the blaster and a red paint job. This NERF gun certainly looks threatening. (Please, please, please don’t go around clocking people over the head though, as that really isn’t what NERF guns are about!)

The NERF HALO Mangler is straightforward, but it doesn’t come with some of the fancy elements seen on the Bulldog or MA40. But if you really want to play the Covenant, we’re not here to stop you.

NERF MicroShots HALO SPNKr

NERF MicroShots Halo SPNKr

Features

Manual blaster

Pocket NERF gun

Front loaded

Includes 2 Elite darts

Ah, what NERF gun range would not be complete without a pocket blaster? These are never going to be your primary weapon, but they are always a lot of fun and can certainly surprise your opponent when they think you are out of ammo!

The SPNKr HALO NERF gun is a front-loaded blaster that takes up to 2 Elite darts. Slot in your darts at the front of the blaster, pull down the priming handle (located underneath), and you can quickly pop off a shot.

Modelled on the in-game M41 surface-to-surface rocket launcher, this tiny NERF gun may not be blowing anyone up, but it makes the perfect gift for any HALO enthusiast

NERF MicroShots Halo Needler

NERF MicroShots Halo Needler

Features

Manual blaster

Pocket NERF gun

Front loaded

Includes 2 Elite darts

Another (!) pocket blaster and this one styled on one of the most iconic Covenant weapons – the needler! The NERF HALO Needler is all about style – featuring the iconic purple needles on the top of the blaster, it certainly looks threatening.

Unfortunately, this micro Needler isn’t going to help you tear up the blaster field as it is a single shot front-loaded blaster. Pop in your dart, prime it up, and take your shot. Unlike the SPNKr, this gun only has one barrel, so you will need to reload after each shot.

It’s not our favorite blaster in the NERF HALO series, but it’s cute and certainly looks the part, so we can’t hold too much of a grudge
